Dewun Settle has represented people who have been victims of civil rights violations. He has litigated class action lawsuits involving FLSA claims and fought tobacco companies in a multi-plaintiff wrongful death lawsuit. Mr. Settle has represented many individuals in high profile criminal cases with exceptional results. In his career, Mr. Settle has been a managing partner for the Law Offices of Perkins, Johnson and Settle in the City of Memphis. He spent five years as the Clerk and Master of Shelby County Chancery Court, and was an adjunct professor of criminal justice at LeMoyne-Owen College and Crichton College. Mr. Settle is the father of three children and is very active in serving his community. He is a volunteer football coach and is active with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
Furthermore, Mr. Settle is a member of The National Bar Association, The American Bar Association, The Memphis Bar Association and is a Memphis Bar Fellow. He has also conducted free legal clinics in Memphis in service to the community. Mr. Settle is a 1987 graduate of the University of Tennessee and a 1991 graduate of the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has been licensed to practice law since 1992.
